Anyone using Mac?

Hey guys,

I am trying to login to Mac-Mail application with my SFU email address but I don't know what POP means.
There are like POP, IMAP, Exchange, and Exchange IMAP for the account type and I have to choose one but
I don't know which one I need to choose. Also, I don't know what I need to put for the server.
If anyone knows the procedure to login and set up the account, help plz!

    IMAP is much better than POP for synchronization.

    Incoming: imap.sfu.ca    Port:993    Security: SSL/TLS    Athentication: normal password
    Outgoing: mailgate.sfu.ca    Port:465    Security:SSL/TLS     Athentication: no athentication

    Username: xxxxx@sfu.ca

    That is what I set in Thunderbird. Hope it helps.
