Undergraduate scholarships at SFU

edited January 2012 in General
Hey all,

I'm a first year SFU student, and am curious about the awards and scholarships awarded to undergraduates based on CGPA. It seems many require at least a 3.50 CGPA. Does that mean if you have over this CGPA, you will automatically get the award. Also, I read somewhere that they are awarded around the 8th week of classes. As this is after tuition has been paid, how are the awards paid out? Is it to be applied against the following term's tuition, or as a cheque? I have a 4.20 CGPA for 12 units for one semester. Is this enough credits to be considered, or is a full year of credits required?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

  • I believe 12 credits is enough to be considered for Open Undergraduate Scholarship. If you are awarded this scholarship, you will need to pick up a cheque at Registrar Office. Value of Open Undergraduate Scholarship differs each semester and depends on number of credits you are taking in the current semester.
