What is it with girls and digging through cells phones?

Pretty much every girl I talk to asks sooner or later(most when they've just met me) to see my phone. Some will put their number in without asking, which I dont mind, but then they and all others go digging through the phone, checking out my music, my pictures, text messages, who's in my address book, whatever. I mean, I dont really have anything to hide, but I dont ask to dig through their phone, which would be like digging through their purse(many also ask to see my wallet)
How do I avoid this without being a dick about it? I mean, i dont care that they leave their number there, but if it means them going through my shit then I'd rather ask for their number.

    Lol, what a bunch of prying girls. Tell them that's your personal shit.

    I personally wouldn't care if a chick did go through my phone though. I've got nothing to hide there.

    If she went through my closet or my computer though, then there would be some intervention.

    they just want a shortcut. something faster to get to know about you a bit more.

    say you got lots of guys txting you hate txts and shit, they know you're a shitstarter etc

    or in your wallet you carry around a condom, then its up to their own interpretation yeknow

    No girls go through my cell phone. They would ask for my number and they would give me there's but it's not like they even call. I usually just ask for their email if I have to contact them.

    haha thats like guys going through my purse...i dont know why they do it, but it doesnt really bother me.

    i don't mind people going through my cellphone.. but i have a problem with guys going through my purse.. usually i just tell them i have pads in there.. XP

    really as a guy i don't see a big deal if there are pads in a girl's purse.. we're not dumb, we know what happens to you once a month, it's nature, and i don't see the shame/embarassment in it... given that it's not a used one of course

    oh shiet.. i'm going off topic.. but yeah back to the topic... yeah i try to not to leave anything too personal on my phone unless i want a girl who i know will be going through my phone to see it.. it's amazing to see how the would react if they see pics of you with another girl or interesting texts from another girl who is "only a friend"

    well pro.. some guys get squeamish when they see one.. and the point was just to deter them from going thru my purse.. so as long as it does its primary job and the secondary one.. it's going to stay in there.. =)

    The funny thing is, I've tried looking through my (ex) gf's purse a couple times and just seeing a pad makes me freak out and drop the bloody thing...so i guess it works ahaha
