Performer for short film

edited May 2011 in General
Looking for an actor, male or female, age 19 - 25

The role is open to anyone, actor or non-actor, who may be interested in taking part in the film.

The film style is similar to the cinema vérité style of France - such as the films of Eric Rohmer - and will include a literary monologue which outlines the characters thoughts and feelings. The images and narrative together will make a poetic piece, less dependent on plot than the typical films of today.

The basic premise for the film is a student's afternoon at Simon Fraser University.

The difficulty for the performer will not lie so much in the physical performance but in the delivery of the monologue.
I'd like the performer to have a unique appearance and tone of voice, but mostly I'm interested in someone who is excited by the project and wants contribute their own ideas to it.  I have a general outline of the film and dialogue but I would be happy to collaborate and develop the film further with the performer.

The filming will take one or two days, and we can decide those days together.

The project is not for profit so your involvement will be voluntary. I hope to make a collection of these shorts for art shows and festival viewings.

If you are interested please send a photo of yourself and possibly what interests you about the project.
