for all you new people

stop with the god damn necro-threading. posts from years ago do not require digging up and being injected with your enlightened opinion.

that is all.

  • Someday, maybe two or three years from now, a new user will dig up this thread and comment on it.

    That is all.

Out of curiousity, what's wrong with necro-threading?

At least, maybe, we can assume, these necro-posters are taking the effort to search the archives to post their ideas on relevant threads instead of creating a new thread when the same topic has spurred 50 other threads already. Or maybe they just didn't notice how old the thread was, not realizing people don't give a damn about the old thread anymore.

In any case, I don't really see it as bothersome as some might.

For all you new people, there's a meetup coming up soon!! - online predator
  • I noticed that too! I now added a warning msg to all threads older than 30 days. If someone tries to comment on a thread older than 30 days, a message box will pop up and the user will have to tick a little box to make a post. Hopefully that helps.
