How are these two courses? Bus 207 is taught by S. Matadeen and Stat 201 is distance course. Is that stat course easy at all for someone that haven't taken stat a year ago?
I'm taking STAT 201 right now, and it's fairly easy. Though I did end up tanking on the second midterm due to skipping almost every lecture after the first midterm. Luckily I did well enough on the first midterm and the assignments to maintain around 85% in the course.
I suggest not assuming that the course is extremely easy after the first midterm, as the material gets somewhat more difficult as the course progresses. The assignments so far have been fairly straight forward, and have actually been worth a decent amount (which beats courses where assignments are worth 0.5% each, where I would not be very motivated to do them).
I dont mean to scare you, but bus 207 with matadeen is apparently really hard. I'm taking it with Ruckman and she's a great prof, but I hear she's not teaching it anymore. Depending on how good you are at grasping econ concepts, you'll be fine...it's a lot of econ105 and barely some math157 (just derivatives..don't let the first review lecture scare you). I personally find it really interesting, but it does require some work. best of luck!
