Help in Law studies BA/LLB programs

edited August 2006 in General
Hello, I'm a second year student at SFU and i recently got interested to study law in order to become lawyer but I don't understand the difference between a Bachelor of arts degrees (BA) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) are they equivalent in duration and validity? Can I continue a Master of laws (LLM) with the two of them and become a lawyer?

basically bachelor of arts would be your undergraduate degree, while the LLB is your graduate degree for law (need law school for it). Your BA will take 4 years while the LLB takes an additional 3 years. And regarding the LLM, you will be fine since the LLB is a requirement for the masters program.
