deadline for dropping courses?

Hi guys,,,

do anyone know when is the deadline for dropping an enrolled courses?
I thought that if i drop classes before the semester start would be ok...
but it turns out i got charged for the "UG Tuition Drop Penalty" $50 every time.

    This is easily found by searching the SFU website:

    December 4 (Friday), 2009
    Last day for 100% refund of tuition

    December 5 (Saturday), 2009 to January 8 (Friday) , 2010
    Penalty of $50 for each class DROPPED (maximum total penalty $100) during this period, if your net class load has decreased

    January 9 (Saturday) to January 15 (Friday), 2010
    Penalty of $100 for each class DROPPED during this period, if your net class load has decreased

    January 16 (Saturday), 2010
    No refund for classes dropped (class drop penalty will be calculated and posted to your student account in week three of classes)

    You know the time you took to ask this question, you could have easily went to http://www.google.com and typed in sfu deadline.
