PSYC 280 Bio Psyc

edited August 2009 in General
I haven't taken any bio courses in college but have completed psyc 100&102. Will it be tough to take PSYC 280? Or should I go for PSYC 221 Cognitive Psyc instead?

Psych 280 can be tough for pure psych majors. Take it with caution, be prepared for a LOT of memorization, and if you've never taken any bio, prepare to have to take a lot of stuff on faith, without much explanation. IMO, that could should have at least bio101 as a pre-req.

Take 221 instead, but if youre a psyc major isnt 280 a requirement?

I took 280 with no bio background and as mentioned above there is A LOT of readings, and A LOT of memorization, and its not like you just have to remember the big things, with the teacher I had you had to memorize A LOT.

I felt overwhelmed by the amount of readings at times, 50-60 page chapters with little to no fluff.
