Distance ed courses
Hello!
I wanted to ask more questions about distance ed courses and try and get some replies before I have to register on Friday.. it's looming horribly closer. I'm thinking about taking Psych 280 via distance ed but I've heard it's really difficult.. I'm really good at both Psych and Biology though so I'm wondering how hard it can really be.
I'm also thinking about taking Kin 142 but I'd really like to know more about how the labs are - do you need to work with groups of friends or can you do the labs on your own / with one other person? What kind of stuff do you have to do?
Then I can't decide what other distance ed courses to take.. Engl 101 is full already, ugh, so I thought maybe SA101 - Anthropology - has anyone taken that online?
Crim 103 sounded really interesting but online discussions sound a little lame and someone said the prof (Glackman) was terrible.. same with Cmns 110 and Cmns 130 - it's weird because there's a lot of old posts on the forums saying Cmns 110 is great online but when I went to read reviews of the prof, people were saying it's the worst class they've ever taken and so on.
Please give me your opinions/suggestions/experiences!
Thanks!!

the course is quit difficult to me although i think im good at biology. Everything related to the brain, nervous system, hormone, evolution are on the textbook in very detailed.
Anyone taken distance ed Kin 142???
PSYC 280 Intro to Biological Psychology B 3.00
Do not take this class unless you want to, the readings are so long and there are just too many concepts to memorize in my opinion.
The teacher lead off in my semester saying: "Last semester I taught this class and it had the highest fail rate of any class I ever taught."
Has anyone taken Kin 142 online?!?!!??!
The thing with Essays, the marking is subjective. If the TA disagrees with your opinion, he's going to take off a couple letter grades. If the TA doesn't like you, he's going to take off a couple letter grades. And they'll give you some BS reason as to why they took off a couple letter grades and you can't really argue with them since Essay marking is subjective.
Despite it being a DE course, the TA will have office hours. I'd suggest you to take this time to understand the TA's personality and get as close to him/her as possible and suck up a lot. Just go every week and take up the whole hour (practically no one goes anyways except for fellow suck ups). In the case of fellow suck ups, work together with them. Take turns observing the TA and sucking up.
When writing the essay, write it in a way that will conform to the TA's views and bias, and BAM instant A.
