New semester schedule

edited July 2009 in General
PSYC 102 Introduction to Psychology II
PSYC 201 Research Methods in Psychology
HIST 130 Modern World History
SA 150 Introductory Sociology
FPA 104 Music Fundamentals

Substitution list: BISC 100 Introduction to Biology, ENGL 203 Early Modern Literature

How you guys think of this schedule? Would it be tough in terms of workload? I major in Psychology and am still deciding on a minor among history, English, and Sociology.

I can't really say since this fall will be the start of my freshman year, but I'm going to be in your Sociology class. Ann Travers is supposed to be a really good prof.

Only other opinion I can give is that HIST 130 is a class that I was going to take. However, Modern World History covers the period from like 5000 BC to the present times, when I thought that it would maybe be the Nineteenth Century to the present or something.

I wouldn't substitute the english course in there since that sounds like a lot of reading to keep up with in terms of a workload.

I've also heard that Ann Travers is amazing and a lot of people's favorite prof - I took SA150 with Ken Fish and found the course content to be enjoyable.

I'm assuming that you took English12 AP and Psych12 AP to have the pre-reqs for the classes you want to take so if you keep up your time managment and stay focused this should be okay. You might also want to consider starting out with 4 classes to see how the transition to univiersity is then bump it up to 5 in the spring.

Thanks for the advice. This will be my second year BTW, and I am a transfer student. Which of English and history you think is easier in upper level?
