Good Restaurants to Take a Date to?

I am taking a girl out on a date for the first time this weekend and I'm wondering what some good restaurants might be a good idea to go to. Keeping in mind that I'm trying to look good without spending a huge pile of cash. I'm picking her up in Burnaby so anything thats not super far from there would be ideal.

So any ideas?

    McDonalds. Get the kid's meal. I heard they give out toys, damn those are cool.

    my choice would be greek restaurants there are so many that its ezy to find one

    THE KEG!!! food is awesome, not too expensive
    for appetizers order the garlic shrimp thing.....soooo goood
    Than order a steak....soooo goood
    tell her to order the chicken creole....also soooo good
    if shes vegetarian...not right for you my man

    i went to keg not too long ago and i was not impressed with the steak...

    I do like The Keg a lot so that sounds like a pretty solid idea. If she's a vegetarian she can fill up on bread.

    Stay away from chain restaurants...I find them to be pretty tacky on the first date.

    Vancouver is always gorgeous, especially if it's nice this weekend. Go to the Italian Kitchen or something, and walk down to the Harbour after!

    Dinner is so cliche.

    What you do is take them to Science World. That way they think you are super fun for taking them to Science World and if you hate them, at least you are at Science World!

    There's a place called Bellagio Cafe across from the Art Gallery that's pretty good. Otherwise there's the chain restaurants in and around Robson (Earl's, Milestones, Cactus Club, etc). These are all reasonably priced.

    On the off chance you really want to look good and don't mind spending roughly $50 per person there's Cin Cin on Robson

    lol its pretty funny to see ppl on first dates at chain restaurants, their always so awkward

    I'm totally open for other ideas other than dinner. The problem is that both of us are pretty busy during the day so that rules out a lot of things like Science World. She just moved here about 7 months ago and told me she wanted to see the Cap Suspension Bridge so I had originally planned to go there, but I can't do the day date this week. I don't really want to put off going out with her until next weekend so I figured dinner was the way to go.

    Big servings and relatively cheap, good atmosphere.

    In fact, plenty of parks in the area to go for a walk after. As well, lots more boutique restaurants that are cheap on the street.

    Cheap dinner? Go to Anton's, Anducci's or Amarosa. Lots of yummy pasta plus it's pretty cheap.

    And I usually sit across from the person.
