Bjarne Stroustrup Presentation

edited April 2009 in General
Did anyone attend this presentation today?

Any thoughts on the presentation?

I personally enjoyed the code samples and it was weird to think that he invented these additions in the 80's and Java has been using some of them for a couple of years now(ie the new for loop).

Just goes to show how ahead of his time he actually was/is.

I went to it. It made me realize how most CS people are either fat or have long hair.

Anyways, he told some anecdotes which received a chuckle from most of the audience yet this guy beside me was laughing hysterically to everything. "OMG THIS MAN, LESS OF A COMPUTING SCIENTIST, MORE OF A COMEDIAN!"

I thought he would have been older. You may have seen me there. I asked the question about cloud computing. I heard somebody laughing very much out loud. I was second row centre and I enjoyed his humour. I also enjoyed the proposed changes to template type checking.
