Does anyone know if I do this now (or tomorrow) if I'll receive the U-Pass in the mail before classes start or not?
Or am I kinda stuck paying the $50 fee for it because it won't get here in time?
Also, I remember doing this last year (except I actually did drop the courses because I didn't want to take it anymore, not for the u-pass itself) and I remember the paper saying I have to return my card otherwise I will be charged a fee or someshit? Or is that just a scare tactic?
All cards sent out are tracked and if a student drops, the card is cancelled, whether you state you have it or not. TransLink fines people caught using cancelled (or other people's cancelled) cards.
There's no way to check unless you stick your card in the slot. But notbody does that. Even if you do stick it in the slot, it says "invalid". "invalid" also shows up on a valid card if the black strip is bent. So just bend the strip a bit.
