How to decide?

edited March 2009 in General
I'm a 23 year old currently studying at University of Winnipeg, and I've applied to transfer to SFU in September, studying international studies. I understand that some of my courses will be in Burnaby, and some Vancouver. I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me how to decide where to live. Is living on campus in Burnaby generally a good experience, and if so how should I decide which residence to live in? Is one better in general? Or do most people recommend just sharing a house or apartment with roommates? Which would be better financially? Thanks so much.

Roommates off the hill is cheaper.

Living in rez is definitely worth it, even for a short time. Where in rez depends on what you want / how much you are willing to pay.

You wont necessarily have all your classes at Vancouver. I have never had a class outside of Burnaby before.

Either way, if you live off the hill, either live near a skytrain line or the 135 bus line and you can get to both quite fast.
