Has anyone else received an e-mail to be a peer educator?

I got one but I'm not sure if I should take part. The screening process seems extensive, so I assume that something like this would look really good on a resume somewhere down the line? Does anyone have experience with this thing, and has it helped you in any way, shape or form?

I think everyone receives that email.

I didn't receive an e-mail. It is alright, I am not teacher material anyway...

The interviews/training is extensive, but you meet great people and I've had a great time thus far in my position.

the application reqs seem just a little fucking ridiculous for a volunteer job at some random tutoring place.

Also: they messed up my name.

how they can mess up my name when it's perfectly correct in SFU's records, which they no doubt had accessed, is beyond me.

It's not just tutoring, is it?

I'm not a tutor by any means.
