Good one, xxk1nky! But hey, better than nothing, right?

they better not assign more homework to compensate for those days..

We have one? I don't remember getting one last year. If it's February 16-17, it's perfect. I have two midterms that week.

it's not really a reading break anyways as it's only 2 days. I sorta want a week off at least. I mean how much studying can one really do in two days? especially if you're taking 5 courses like me, got to work on the weekend and still have other things to do. sigh.... plus time with friends as well so that takes away your time too :(

It's called Piss Poor Planning if you can't manage your time properly.

i didn't say i couldn't manage my time properly. I'm just saying there should be a longer reading break since it's kinda pointless for it to only be two days :P

Be glad we get one this year.

Oh, did they just start it this year?
  • edited February 2009

Does this have any correlation with the budget cut?
  • edited February 2009
No, it is due to being a tri-semester school.

you kids might not remember, but we also had one in either spring of 05 or 06, forgot which year. 60:40 odds it was 06 and not 05

and like this year, I also had Monday and Tuesday off that time. FML

I have Thursday and Fridays off, so I get a six day long weekend, as opposed the regular four.

:O Nice. I get Tuesdays/Thursdays off normally, so I guess I only get one additional day. *shrug* better than nothing.

Does that means exams are pushed later? :(

One of mine did :( Now I have two exams back to back. Grrrreat! And I have an exam during reading "break", on the Thursday which I guess is technically not part of reading break.

Easter break is during the final exam period this semester. So there's a day or two of exams, easter break, and more exams.

About this Reading Break thing. Are you guys refering to the "Mid-Term Break" we get next week on Feb 16 and Feb 17 or do we get another two days off later in the semester? I am not seeing anything in the day planner that indicate a "Reading Break".

While I don't know about exams being pushed back, I did notice that Rez move-out date was pushed back.
