What a bus ride..

edited January 2009 in General
So I took the 145 at upper loop today and I was resting my eyes and the bus came to a stop on the way down. Let's just say I confused and thought I took the wrong bus because I was so unfamiliar with the surroundings.

I was told that the bus driver made the wrong turn and we were going in the wrong direction? Apparently the bus driver tried to make a u-turn on the highway but failed, and ended up blocking part of the oncoming traffic. Next thing you know, he ends up driving ON the oncoming lane and he drove over the curb to get back onto the right side of traffic.

We went down some unfamiliar streets and we got to Sperling skytrain station, and he said sorry and everyone got out.

Wow, what an experience. Crazy bus driver much?

    :D
Well, we had a similar one, except with less U-turns and excitement
The sign on the bus said "145 - Production way" but it was really the 135 and no one knew.
I think it was several minutes after he (the driver) made the right turn that someone approached him to ask him what was going on.
Then he let us all off at some point to catch another bus that would take us to the skytrain (a few stops west of production, I guess)..

last time i took the bus, mind u this was a long ass time ago, the bus driver went on the intercom told everyone on the bus to finger the driver in the car to our left after which he proceeded to cut the driver off...
IMO it was a lil uncalled for...

I've taken the bus everyday for 5 years and the worst that has happened is that the bus stalled at the bottom of the hill.
Also on the first day of my orientation, a bus broke down and a bunch of passengers from that bus was trying to flag ours down

I've taken the bus since Grade 8... and nothing as interesting as dm0kk's story has even come close.

Although this one time, the day that the school closed in the middle of the day because of snow... another bus crashed/slid into my bus going up the hill and we had to get out of the bus.

Yes, it was definitely quite the experience.

When I re-read my own story, it almost seems farfetched but when it was happening at the moment, I think the only thing going through my head was "WTF WTF WTF!!!!"
