Psyc 201 is about the research method and Psyc 207 is History of Psychology
I have taken 201 and it is not hard
are u gonna major/minor in psyc or u just wanna an elective?

im assuming if youre taking psyc 201 youre going to be a psych major which means you have to take it regardless

never take a research methods class as an elective, 201 is tedious and awful, unless youre really good at memorizing dozens of tiny little details youll get docked marks everywhere on every assignment

I wouldn't take them as an elective, I plan to major in psyc, so I don't really have an option about taking them.
I'm just curious as to what to expect, as I've heard the material is pretty dry. Thanks for the replies.

i think 201 is not really that hard, my friend got a B- at last even she failed the midterm. This course mainly focus on the research. Make sure you follow the procedure and the APA format well and you will get a good grade.
The assignments are about the text/lecture material. Read the chapter or lecture notes before you go to the first few labs. I didn't do the assignments well but my midterm and research were ok so I got a B+ at last.
Oh one more thing, don't choose a bad TA for this course. It is a different world if you don't get a good one
