desmond, is it still snowing super hard up there?
  • edited December 2008
Apparently. I didn't hear it from any Desmond, but I was at the ABC on Hastings and had my phone with me. Sure as shooting, I get the message as I'm on my second coffee during breakfast, and I hopped it back home. On the way back I talked to a girl who'd come off the mountain and she said it was pretty bad :omg:

It is still snowing like Whistler and according to road report and many first hand accounts of fellow TalkSFUers up here, buses are not running.

It is all lies, I live on campus and I see no snow.

Screw this, SFU or translink better start offering snowmobiles to students, or those buses with 100 inch tires.

    *sigh*

I swear to god, EVERY year when the snow comes down the 135 gets totally fucking backed up all to hell. WHY can't Translink pre-emptively adjust their bus ratio when snow is even *suspected*?

cuz that involves thinking and logic..

SFU needs to give Translink hell over this.

I think SFU was just sending a big FU to those who whined in February when they didn't GTFO when it started to snow.

You can't really blame Translink when we are the ones who are stupid enough to build an university on A FREAKIN MOUNTAIN and with students stupid enough to attend.
  • edited December 2008
Ok, so you tell me why they can keep running the 145 up and down a steeper hill grade and the 135 pussies out every time it snows.

    sharper corner?
