^ I agree, food from both Mackenzie and Ravens is overpriced and not very good... if you are going to spend money, I suggest going to Renaissance, Donair Town, Pizza Point, or Himalayan Peak. =)
Do not eat yellow or any other colour or non-colour of snow, other then that study hard like you party and you will graduate well. Do not stress out in your first year or second...stress out in the third and fourth years...they count the most.
The most important advice I would give anyone who first enters SFU or any University is: PLAN AHEAD YOUR ACADEMIC CAREER
Make realistic plans and have back up plans and if possible another back up. I see so many kids entering university dreaming to be a doctor or lawyer only to end up being crushed. The worst is seeing students who try so hard to get into the Business program. I think they break the biggest dreams out of all faculties. Students try and do all the course requirements but just can't get the 3.0 GPA needed to enter and then they are kind of screwed and must go into another faculty and take courses that they could of done if they weren't so single tracked on business. Also, students take all lower level and up to 75 credits and STILL can't get into business and then must do more lower level credits making it a waste since usually the max LD credits you can have is 75.
Don't be afraid to ask for help, and make friends! You can't get through school, especially your first sem of university, alone. (And if you try to, it'll probably be pretty tough) Network with some peeps!!! It'll help a lot. Plus, it'll be more fun! The more, the merrier :D
