Fido relaunches without System Access Fee
http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2008/11/03/tech-cellphones.html?ref=rss
This is a few days old, but I haven't had the time to post it. As the title states, cellular provider Fido has relaunched with a new logo, a new look, and all new rate plans that don't have system access fees. I've reviewed a few of their plans...and they don't seem too spectacular, but you certainly get what you pay for.

kind of stupid since they just redesigned the whole site a couple of months ago
you think they will axe the system access fee if i call and ask?
I know the story says that Rogers is getting rid of the SAF as well, but that's just plain wrong. My understanding is that they have no plans currently, but they might in the future. The article makes it sound like they've already gotten rid of the SAF.
in conclusion there is no decent GSM provider wtf ... and people wont stop fucking calling me to tell me their fucking life story for which i do not care for... i think my solution here is to throw away my phone
that or i should get an AT&T plan and make these bitches pay long dist to call me :D
lol.. but that's just plain evil.. ;)
That's the same with Fido though, all of their old plans will still charge the SAF. It's only if you switch to one of their newer plans that they won't charge it. The shitty thing is, if you're on an old Fido plan, and want to switch to a non-SAF plan, you have to pay a $25 transfer fee.
