Hey, I just wanted to find out your views on getting your molars removed. I've got two removed already, the 2nd two coming up. ... cuz i know in some Asian countries people don't even get 'em out... Just seeing what you think?
I had my two bottom wisdom teeth out because, according to my dentists, are growing adnormally and is pushing against the teeth on the front. Since he is the one with the MD, I believed him and had mine removed.
However, since then, I have been skeptical of his claim and I decline his advice to remove my two upper wisdom teeth. If he manages to convince me, I will probably pay for the surgery with our new health plan.
Mine wisdom teeth all grew in, and they don't bother my other teeth. They grew in straight.
Whether you should keep your wisdom teeth or not depends on your genes. Mine are obviously superior.
Basically, when it comes decisions involving massive loads of money, it's always good to get a second opinion (go to different dentists). Also, from what I know of dentists, they will tell you whatever they need to earn some $$$. Learn up on the crap yourself and make educated decisions.
my dentist has been bugging me about them in the last 2-3 visits i made.. in the most recent one.. he took the liberty to schedule in a day to take them out for me right after my finals.. sent me the estimated charges via my insurance company...claiming the maximum coverage available... anyone see what i see he's trying to get at?
and yeah.. i think i'm going to cancel the surgery.. just a day before.. or maybe on the same day.. depending on my mood.. =P
I was very doubious about just how much damage my wisdom teeth would really have done, but it was covered by insurance, so I went ahead and got all 4 out. Not that big a deal, just sort of bloody for a few days.
thanks for the advice guys! yeah, the last time i had my molars removed, i had to drink ensure for like 2 weeks, and my cheeks puffed up so much. I still have like 'scars' from it, meaning my cheeks are slightly larger than before... i shit you not lol. anyway, i'm gonna say f to the dentist probably.... my molars feel fine right now. one has grown out like almost completely and it's not bugging me.

Keep up the good work and hilarity, SFSS.

Due to evolution, people are starting to lose their canines.

And getting a second opinion is always a good idea.
Due to my superior genes, I have an extra set of canines in place of the secondary front teeth. It allows me to convince people that I am a vampire.
You guys won't be evolving, rather, you're just devolving.
