Starbucks or Tim Hortons?

edited January 2007 in General
Which do u prefer? I love them both. But StarBucks Coffee is WAY too strong. But there is more variety at StarBucks than Tim Hortons.

I'm a Tim Hortons addict. I can't stop. I love my medium double double with carmel chocolate cookies. We should have a Tim Hortons up here. It's inexpensive and would be very popular. :teeth: :teeth:

OOOH Timmy Ho'es is seriosly the best. I just came up here from Langara, which use to have a Starbucks, but it got replaced by Timmy's. Why did I ever come to SFU when Langara has Timmy's??????

HEY one of you Business Faculty people open a Tim Hortens Franchies up here will ya? Isn't that what you do? Business type stuff?

Altho I do have a small beef with Tim Hortens, they do not have Organic Free trade coffee... so its not really an ethical choice.

Whoa, Langara got a T.H.?! Damn... I left too soon!

Maybe I'm crazy, but I love their Broccoli Soup... mmmm... and cheap... ;)

Starbucks doesnt have Timbits, so this is a no brainer for me

Timmyz is the shit@! It hits the spot in the morning afternoon or night and as long as you got some change in your pocket you can get whatever you want. I usually grab a coffee and a donut but thier sandwiches are awesome too. Starbucks is just a status thing, total waste of cash and is it me or does their coffee always taste burnt??

I'll repost what I said as it is true and does not directly attack any board members.

[content removed] Tim Hortons has good sandwiches. Corey prefers TH.

The only thing I've tried at Tim Hortons is the Ice Cap and it's what I drink when I don't feel like spending tons on a frap from Starbucks. But Starbucks has much more to choose from...

Timmy's all the way. I'm from Toronto (Brampton, namely), and when I got here I couldn't help but notice how many god damn Starbucks you guys have here. It's hard to find a Tim Horton's within walking distance, whereas back home, we have Timmy's everywhere. I guess the Vancouver crowd is more "hip" and "with it", but I'll enjoy my double-double and honey cruller, thank you very much.

i'd say tim hortons squeeks out the win.. ICE CAP =P
  • edited January 2007
    SFU has none of those..

    RENAISSANCE ALL THE WAY!!

but honestly, i'd choose starbucks coffee cz its stronger!

I'm trying to stop drinking coffee, but Timmy Ho's has a pretty nice tea... I don't really care for the Tazo Teas and the fancy stuff at Starbucks, just give me a nice strong cuppa Orange Pekoe with milk and a little sugar and I'm happy  (So I guess TH would be my answer to the original question)

i cant last a day without coffee ><

Tim Horton's has better food but their coffee tastes like water.

    Starbucks coffee tastes really burnt

Second Cup or Blenz for me!
  • edited January 2007
haha, yes, someone who thinks like me.

never tried second cup but blenz is just about right for ppl who prefer someothing less burnt over Starbucks.
