Date ideas!

I've been seeing someone for the last 3 weeks and it's been a ton of fun. He's leaving for Europe on Sunday so we're spending Sat. night together. I've been trying to think of something at least remotely interesting to do but I'm out of ideas. Dinner is bleh (he's out 4+ times a week for business dinners).
I need creative proposals!!!!

    go to the PNE, thats kinda romantic, you can go on the rides then check the exhibiters place

    go to an aracade at night then for a walk, some guys like that

    go do the grouse grind

    go bowling

    i think a lot of these things are things guys would find fun but are afraid girls wont like

    i dont think the pnes open just yet, playland is though

    o ya u should definitely go to the beach if the weathers nice on saturday, which it most likely will be.
    And if you dont want to hang out at the beach, since it will definitely be crowded, i recommend renting a boat.
    boating = a lot of fun, and it gives u some privacy

    - Cirque du Soleil/TUTS + gelato afterwards

    I saw CdS last week, and it is amazing, but too expensive for a date. Then again, he's going away so maybe it'd be a "special occasion" date, and thus justify the expense?

    Regardless, cooking him a going away dinner is always nice.

    Love the ideas! I'm thinking I could use a few for when he gets back as well (especially the Stanley Park and PNE ones...and the aquarium, I love the aquarium).
    I'm thinking about making dessert and bringing coffee/hot chocolate to this little deserted hill by both of our places...perfect place to watch the sun set, and we've been talking about going there one of these nights anyway. And then something that I would find fun (but I'm not sure if he would)...there's an outdoor gated pool that we both used to jump over and swim in at night when we were younger (we live in the same area but never really knew each other) so I'm thinking of going there later on in the night??? It's really hard to explain, but it's way more fun than it sounds!
    It's not really an interesting or special plan but we talk so much so rarely do we ever get around to actually doing something, haha.

    For future date ideas, check out the Grouse Mountain website! They have a lot of activities, like an outdoor rink, zip lines, sleigh rides and a bunch of other things that a lot of people don't do any old day (like a snowshoeing class that ends with a three course fondue for dinner!). Theres also suppose to be a restaurant there that has a really good view of the city. If you two are on the artistic side (or try to be), theres also a cute place called Crank Pots in Vancouver where you paint pottery pieces (such as mugs, plates, magnets, picture frames and a ton of other things) and you pick it up a week later after they fire it for you. Thats a good idea if you guys like to talk a lot, since painting takes quite some time, and in the end you can exchange your creations =)

    ^great ideas!

    Old thread, but it's been almost 8 months! We eventually just brought a blanket to a park and stayed there almost all night. Simple!
