Happy Canada Day

Happy Canada Day everyone! Nice to know that our great nation is 141 years old and is still in one piece after all these years, unlike somebody 147 years ago...

While I didn't paint my face with our flag or hang a Canadian flag outside, I did passively celebrate our nation's 141 birthday by making this thread and celebrated Canada's diversity and multiculturalism by having a Buddhist lunch with my mom.

Speaking of diversity and multiculturalism, I have always been bother by the fact that people accuse diversity and multiculturalism of destorying the Canadian way of life. I ask these people, "what exactly is this Canadian way of life that you cherished?

So, what did you guys do on Canada Day?

    Nothing. Canada day is just another typical day for me. Nothing to celebrate, really.

    But I guess.. Happy Canada day to you also.

    I worked at the Surrey Canada Day festival so I celebrated by smiling all day!
    Usually I just go to the fireworks somewhere though.

    I did homework and then decided to play tennis but all the courts were being repaired so I went biking and then I went to karaoke and now I am home. I think this is the first year I didn't go to Canada Place on Canada Day...

    I went to watch the fireworks...they were alright, nothing compared to the Celebration of Lights Fireworks in August but there were a lot of people out enjoying the nice weather so it was fun...

    Funny thing is, a lot of people assumed they were in English Bay (like the August ones) but they were really in Coal Harbour (the other side of the downtown)...I was kinda confused at first until I checked everything on the net

    hmmm.... I went to a Block Party that the church across from Killarney Secondary School hosted. It was awesome! There was a magic show and a bbq. Then, I went home, and at night, we went to the Festival of Lanterns at this place on Steveston and No. 5. They had some pretty "queer" looking lanterns, of dinosaurs, and what not!

    I had a weapons review and then I had lunch and then we had the rest of the day off where I spent my time sorting and labelling my kit.
