Dear Kia:

Earlier this year, you were admitted to SFU via the grades you reported in
the SFU Self-Admission system.

A review of midterm grade data provided by the BC Ministry of Education
indicates your grades have fallen below your self-reported average.

We hope your grades improve; they will be reviewed again in late July. In
the meantime, you may still enroll in your SFU courses in July if you have
paid the $100 admission deposit.

If there is a mistake in the data we received from the Ministry then please
have your high school counselor fax an official, updated transcript to SFU
Undergraduate Admissions at (fax: 778.782.4969). All updated course and
grades information must come directly to SFU from your secondary school to
be considered ³official² and used in the admission decision.

If you have any questions regarding the status of your application please
phone Nancy, Senior Admission Assistant at 778.782.3736.

Good luck with your senior year!

Okay wtf? I never self reported my grades.. I was told my acceptance was confirmed, not conditional.. AND i even went to an advisor to make sure of this.

I even paid my enrollment fee.. the 100 dollars.

The hell is going on? Should I fret? Are they gonna take away my admission/

the only reasonable thing i can think of is if your grades from two years ago have fallen below their current admission average. but i honestly don't know whether sfu has even changed their admission policies recently ....

it could also be an administrative error on their part, so just call this
nancy character asap to find out what's up.

considering that SFU has LOWERED the requirements, that would be epic fail on his part

Right now, our guarantee admission average is a pathetic 75%. Unless your high school average is below that, the morons up at SFU probably made an administrative mistake again. They probably send you the wrong generic email because you never submitted your marks and they SAID you submitted your mark.

When you phone that lady, be sure to tell her your average on your high school transcript and tell them that they made a mistake because you never submitted your mark. Also, ask them if it is a university tradition to screw up people's transcript.

Finally, you are not even in SFU yet!?

Hey Iran1988, ask them if they are doing drugs when they sent you that email!

*Sarcasm* This is why I have been telling high school kids that they can slack off and do all the drugs they want and they can still get into SFU with no problem.

I got a better idea, look for the Admission/ Registrar table at SFU Open House tomorrow and ask them in front of the thousands of potential customers. That otta show them.

Nothing is going to fuck you. It is more than certain that those fa*s once again made an administrative mistake. Tell them what they did wrong and demand an apology.

Here, I wrote a speech for you to read to this lady...

    Senior Admission Assistance Nancy,

My name is Kia (Last Name), student number (Student Number). The Undergraduate Admission just send me a email that said something about

“Earlier this year, you were admitted to SFU via the grades you reported in
    the SFU Self-Admission system.

A review of midterm grade data provided by the BC Ministry of Education
indicates your grades have fallen below your self-reported average.

First of all, I have gotten out of high school for over two years. There is no way to improve my grade even if it needs improving.

Second of all, I am looking at SFU’s guarantee admission page RIGHT NOW and it said that the admission average is 75%. I am holding my high school transcript in my hand right now and the average is (your average). Unless you do not comprehend the basics of mathematic, my average is ABOVE 75%. If not, I suggest you go back to high school instead of asking me to improve my grade.

Finally, is it a university tradition to screw over students? I already know a lot of friends up at SFU and they all said you people screw them in one way or another. If this is the way you treat all your customers, I would rather decline your university’s pathetic offer and consider another university with better student service.
