I've taken both courses, LING 100 with Chung-Hye Han and CMNS 110 with Roman Onuifrijchuk.
LING 100 is DEFINITELY the easier of the two. Not too much reading, the lecture basically covers all the material in the textbook. The material is interesting and easy to understand, and it's going to be a breeze if you're good at memorizing stuff.
CMNS 110 might be better with another prof (I heard Uzelman and McCarron are great... but AVOID ROMAN!!) since the content is pretty interesting, but there is a lot of reading, and the concepts may be harder to grasp if you don't usually take arts courses. If you aren't majoring in CMNS, I would recommend you take the other course cuz I think CMNS 110 is one of the tougher 100-level courses.
