T2202A

edited April 2008 in General
I took a class in early 2007 at SFU and went on go.sfu.ca to print my T2202A form by clicking the link that says "T2202A data" and then selecting the year "2007". The lady at HR Block said that this is not the official form and she would need the official one to do my taxes. Anyway, she went onto my account on go.sfu.ca for 50 min and tried to figure out how to print out the official T2202A with no luck. I'm only doing it thru them this year coz I need the money back right away. Do I get the official T2202A on a different part of the website? TIA

I had my taxes done at H&R Block and they accepted my goSFU T2202A without any problem (just like last year). Make sure you print the T2202A by clicking on "Printer Friendly T2202A" at the top of the page. If that's not the problem then maybe the lady that was helping you doesn't know what she's doing...

why dont you just do it yourself online for free? or do you have intestments and other things that need to be reported

Because H&R Block gives your tax return to you right away instead of having to wait for it...cashhh money baby

well if you submit it online its only 4-7 business days, patience is a virtue

but i guess the human in us all likes to see the money in hand

i mean the OP could have done it online himself originally and probably ahd the check deposited in his bank account in a day or two from now

how does H&R block work? Do you sit there the entire time while they go through it all?

Yea, it's kind of like doing your car insurance as long as you have the right paperwork. And then once the paperwork is all done and signed they give you a debit card with your tax return money on it. If you have gone to school with full time status for 4 months out of the year (1 semester) you are eligible to get a nice amount back if you've worked.

Thats why I jumped on it and got my taxes done a month ago, the online submission is surprisingly fast for direct deposit, got a cool 2500 back

So I took randomuser's advice and used ufile to file it for free. I will be getting 2800 dollars back. HR Block wanted $90 from me to file it thru them coz I took 1 course only so I'm not considered a student by their standards.
