Hi Every one,

I'm just wondering how can I access the sfu rez server from a different network?

When I try to access it from outside rez it asks for a username and password (remot access), anyone can tell me what it is?

Or if it is reserved for the rez people, can you send it to me by email?

It only passwords to people not on a rez IP so if you wan't the password you will have to ask the admin who is a student in rez whose name I won't reveal. If you want on it you have to move to rez. Other than that give up because you won't get in it, nor will you be able to get the download speeds we do (2000-10000 kb/s).

LOL, I'm on rez.
I can access the website from here.
So I guess the question here is, are people outside rez (who have lived/living on rez) suppose to be able to access the server from outside the rez net?

So... are we?

Just for being on rez I give you a huge increase toward your respect. No one is supposed to be able to access rezftp outside the admin, off rez.

For those of you not on Rez (I am, suckers :D), but still wantin' access, use the SFU DC++ hub, which should be accessible from any SFU internet connection (I think they allow that now) - in any case, almost all of the stuff that is on the FTP is from the Hub, so you should get pretty much anything you want (and some extra stuff, like music/games)... here is the link which gives you the instructions:

Incidentally, try to get more people on the Hub, as the more files there are, the greater the sharing, and who doesn't love to share stuff for nothing... :).

got it working through the SFU internet connection, and it went down for a hr :/ admin person said something like "you should be studying anyways"
