I don't think the Windows team is stupid enough to do this yet, especially with the office guy on board (what was his name again?). It's a neat idea but it has to be executed to perfection, or else the entire thing fails miserably, and people aren't ready yet. I'm fine with them experimenting, but I'll continue to buy the "ultimate" edition with everything included in one package for as long as I'm stuck with Windows.

actually, the price has remained pretty much constant if you compare the equivalent editions. but there are other problems with having just 1 OS (Windows craters to the business market, while Mac doesn't nearly as much) edition, but overdoing it like the did with Vista was kid of retarded too.
