Worm!

edited April 2008 in General
I think I have a worm in my computer--I can't open four browsers without a fair amount of lagging. Does anyone know of any online resources that could help me out? Are there any other measures I could take?

This worm's really been fuckin' with me, so anything helpful would be appreciated :teeth:

Oh, and please refrain from making comments along the lines of "u can't extract a worm? U NOOB! U FAIL AT LIFE!" :embarassed:

u noob u cant extract a worm u fail at life, gtfo

But seriously that doesn't sound necessarily like a worm. Those do not even sound like the symptoms of a worm. Although I can't tell from just what you have said. First of all don't be running four browsers at once, that is a huge memory hog on itself, run multiple windows or tabs of the same browser.

It could also be a lot of other things depending on your OS, how old it is, last time you have done stuff like disk defrags (if your hdd is of the FAT type) et cetera.

Truly if it is a worm, two options to get rid of it the first being virus removal software, the second being just reformat.
