Taking distant ed...

hmm
edited March 2008 in General
I'm still debating about whether to take one or two distant ed courses for the summer..
Will I have to pay for U-Pass and the rec fee and stuff?

I always take one or two distance ed in the summer. As long as you keep them in mind, you could be doing your readings at the beach, on your patio, or even at work. It's a good way to build some credits without actually having to go to school

the rec fee's and all those you have to pay no matter what if you are enrolled in (any) course, but when you don't have a full course load its half of what it normally is, around 30$ i think.

CMPT can be easy the first half, even then the amount of time you have to put into the course is ridiculous...unless you already have a background in Python and XHTML otherwise do not take this class!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i took cmpt 165 a while back...python and html stuff...daamn easy if you have basic programming experience...even with just html you're set.

I took it distance ed with 3 friends and we all got some sort of A.

  • edited March 2008

im stating the facts, that class is not an easy a. its an easy A for people with background in xhtml and python, and for people who can copy off their friends, or who have friends who know a lot about this stuff

a large portion of our class got a C on the midterm

and jaydub it shows how ignorant you are that you think that just because a class is easy for you, people who have problems with it are retarded, theres no such thing as an objectively easy class or subject matter, because every person has a different background
  • edited March 2008
I'm taking CMPT165 right now and it's not too bad, seeing as how I've had experience with coding before but I can see how some others could have trouble with it. I agree with randomuser though, it really depends on the person's background. It is NOT an easy A if the material doesn't click for you. But that doesn't mean you're retarded or computer illiterate at all- just that the course isn't for you.

That's where you are wrong, no matter what you study CMPT 165 is not hard and if you think otherwise, then sorry, I must inform you that you are retarded and should not be attending university.

btw, i have no prior knowledge of Python. Yes, I've done XHTML before but this is my first time doing Python. By the way, where did you get the statistic about the midterm?

Thanks for agreeing with me that its hard =) Maybe you should take FAL, also is there any reason why you're such an asshole to girls with opinions? It seems like you have some vendetta against me and baby_e, did you get bullied by a girl in high school? Should we be complimented you feel the need to throw out personal insults to us?

baby_e is a gold digger in denial and you are a whiny liberal

if you're going to take cmpt165 make sure you're not in greg's class. He's one of the few good cmpt teachers so he actually does stuff in classes, which translates to more work for you. If you take some incompetent sessional's class they'll probably be far slower than greg and the material will be much easier (for lack of time to cover the advanced stuff).

im in gregs class...one of my friends was in anne lavergnes class? however you spell it and she had a way better time

you know what doesn't make me laugh? MACM 201:cry:

ok you can quote other people too but,

if you ever actually want to answer the question jay, let me know and i can make counseling thread and maybe help you work out these issues you have against women with opinions threatening your masculinity, theres really no reason to take it to a personal level all the time ;)
  • edited March 2008
Yeah I can quote people, I can also ignore people who I find annoying, much like you are starting to be.

Anyways, I am not liking MACM 201 that much but we are only doing trees now so it isn't hard so that final shouldn't be too bad.

i'm surprised that the mods haven't stumbled on this yet when they so diligently closed down the thread on azn pride..

well jay likes calling people names and getting personal and being rude to people who are new to the threads, i dont think he likes it so much when people are aggressive back to him like girls

people have the right to disagree with each other (which often happens on these forums) but he often makes it personal and acts rude to people, which is what i dont understand

when i first came to these forums he was rude to me, and hes been rude to people who have started coming here and they didnt stay and its no surprise why

It was stupid the moment you posted your garbage. Saying someone is inherently wrong is just as bad as hating them, what is it, pity? So what you clicked my raging bitch trigger, you know what, it happens when I read crap like what you posted. Its easy for a male aged 18-36 (white?) to cast stones, and not 'suck up to minorities'?
looks like someone needs a ride in the WAAAAAAmbulance

did you key those words on there just for aggravational purposes? cause that just shows how childish you're being right now.. and even if you didn't (which i'm hoping so cause it just makes you a teeny weeny bit more bearable) it's enough to put you into that category.. you're not helping with the situation..

Someone alerted me to this thread and told me to take a look.

All i have to say is LOL @ IVT and Jaydub.

IVT: I hardly think you know me well enough to call me a gold digger, and I highly doubt that i would ever talk to someone like you. You should consider it an honour that im even acknowledging that you exist right now.

JayDub: Do you have some sort of problem with girls on here? Randomuser is completely right, you must have had some real problems with girls in highschool. Let me guess, the pretty popular girls wouldnt go out with you because you were a freak/nerd/geek, so you resorted to joining the military because it made you feel strong/popular/needed.....and now, you attack girls on forum boards because it makes you feel like a big man.

Good job boys. Keep it up. You're both so tough behind your keyboards.

    What a joke
