I bought this two years ago and I just found them recently. It's an emblem where you can stick it on the rear of your car. There's a surprising number of people with these things here in Vancouver. Anyone seen these at SFU or anywhere else?
The word "Ichthys" which is the name of the symbol, means "fish" in ancient Greek. When Christians were an oppressed minority, the word Ichthys was used as a secret identifier. It was an acronym for something like "Jesus Christ God's Son and Saviour," which works as an acronym the way Ichthys is spelled in the Greek alphabet. So, the word and the symbol became identifiers of Jesus, and went more mainstream and Christianity did.
There's several interpretations behind the fish symbol. I remember watching a video that links the fish to Jesus' birth date and its astronomical patterns.

anti-Christian much?
Yeah, it's a very libertarian website. Anti-republicans, and whatever else.

I've seen a few cars with the "Evolve" emblem as well as one with the "Flying Spaghetti Monster" -- put a smile on my face.
