Fire at SFU (fireworks)

edited February 2008 in General
Anyone here interrupted by that fire this afternoon? I heard someone put fireworks under some seats and caused smoke everywhere.

Took about 35 min for everything to be cleared up and classes continued.

What? I had no idea that raw unpainted concrete was flammable...

I think the question is, why don't more people have fireworks because lighting fireworks always bring in interesting shenanigans.

Today, on February 26, 2008!? I didn't have class until 1:30PM, therefore I don't know about this fire alarm. There was a fire alarm in the West Mall yesterday February 25, 2008, however.

I like how often the fire alarm goes off at SFU and how no one cares. One day there will be a real fire and no one will leave.

They did a drill last week and the "fire marshals" had to literally drag students out of the computer labs because nobody was paying any attention to the alarm.

    (Sarcasm)

We SFU students take pride in our concete and supposedly fire proof campus. We will go as far as to stand by our conviction by risking our lives.
