I hate SFU's registration system

edited February 2008 in General
Stupid pieces of s#it. I've been trying to get into this GEOG 312 (Natural Hazards) course for 4 semesters and they still won't give me an earlier registration time. Course is already full by the 4th day of registration.

I hope SFU blows up. Because of this bs, it has delayed my graduation for 2 f'n years. A-HOLES.

    Don't we all!?

But You should talk to an advisor if you really need the course to grad or something.

Welcome to the club :) although to be honest i've actually never had problems registering for courses...but i'm anticipating that I will at some point...

If you really need a course, talking [pleading] to the prof might help and they might add you in the class themselves....at least if you're on the waitlist.

english is always fckin hard to get into if you wait a couple days after registration opens.

Try waitlisting, then speaking with the prof. I can't think of a prof who wouldn't bump you in if they heard your tale of woe.

This is nothing new to us, we ALL hate SFU's registration system. This semester, I had a course that I almost couldn't get in but I got in anyway because I talked to the professor before the semester starts. He signed me into the course and I return the favor by going quite good on the first exam. Talk about irony, a guy who almost couldn't get into the course ended up being 1 of the 9 people who got an A- in the first exam.

S*it, I just checked GoSFU and its turns out that there is currently one opening in your course...

I am confused as to why one would be registering for classes at almost halfway through a semester. Surely it is too late to register for classes now?
