Great Places to sleep on campus part 2

edited January 2008 in General
I remember seeing a thread about this a long time ago, I also made a thread about secluded study areas on campus, but I came to a sudden realisation just now.

I always thought why not sit in on lectures just for the heck of it if its between classes?

I always think where can I sleep on campus without feeling I need to hug my purse/bag tightly?

Then I realized, I tend to always fall asleep in boring lectures, so during breaks I should find a really boring class in a big lecture hall, go there, and fall asleep. I dont think anyone would ever try to jack your stuff in lecture.

Do they have first year philisophy classes in big lecture halls at sfu? :teeth:

The 4th floor of West Mall. Go up there, turn right, and walk to the end. This is the philosophy department's common room. It's supposed to be for graduate students, but they don't really care. Go up there to study and sleep. It's quite a good room: few people, quiet, decent couches, pillows, and some room for you to study after you've had your rest. Best of all, it's really clean up there.

The 1st floor of the library. A very underestimated floor. Do many even know that the library has a first floor? I didn't until third year! Go to the end where those bluish tables are grab a comfy chair and just sleep away your worries. Not the cleanest establishment, but I've seen much worse.

There are probably more, but I can't think of any right now. And yes, they do have first-year philosophy classes in big lecture halls.

Townhouses are ok it all depends. You need to have good roommates otherwise it sucks. You can request to have people live with you if you want otherwise it is more than likely you get some randoms in your townhouse. (Four rooms to a TH). I have a roommate from Scottland and two girls from South Slurrey and North Van.

There's a laundry room for every block of townhouses.
