Waiting Lists

I was curious to know how has everyone's experience with course waiting lists. I'm waitlisting a few classes but I don't think I'll get it. Do they normally bump you in if you're near the top of the waitlist or are they quite strict with the class size?

    Go talk to the prof/ta. They'll usually let you in if you're on the list.

    It really depends on the professor. Some are very strict and would not allow even one more into the class, whereas other would sign you into the class with little hesitation. I was able to get into a History class because my professor signed me in, or else I am doubtful that I will even be in the class.
