Physics 121 Midterm

Has anyone taken this class? Is there usually 1 or 2 midterms? And how soon is the first midterm (what week). I'm trying to plan a trip for January and I might miss a few weeks of school because of it so I'm trying to figure this out, thanks for any suggestions

- just found that it's with Jeff McGuirk, any help?

    2 midterms, one on the fifthish week and one on the ninthish week.

    If you're planning to "miss a few weeks of school", do Phys 121 another semester. You can't just expect to plop yourself in on the fourth week and go, "So yo, how do I integrate the electric field of an infinite plane of charge?" without the simpler concepts.

    Now, that having been said, if you're one of those rare people that can do the course solely off the lecture notes and textbook without the prof doing his proffy-thing, then all power to you, but I found my brain just didn't like to work that way when I did 121 and missed a couple days.
