    They've said this about a lot of technologies, so I don't know how this one will turn out.

    Battery life is a big obstacle to many forms of technology yet the companies enjoy it due to the fact that it limits the life of most electronics. If your ipod battery never started dying, 50% of the people wouldn't care to replace it. Lithium ion batteries are the most commonly used batteries today in cell phones, laptops, and mp3 players but I think whoever brings in the next wave of battery technology will have a major asset. I like lithium polymer as opposed to lithium ion, so I think that will be the next step as the prices for them fall. After that, who knows
