How many classes do you prefer to take?

I took five this semester and in addition to work I was overloaded.

However I think I could do it okay if I had managed my time better, just would have to be way more gung-ho about it, like not wasting 15 mins here and there.

Ive done my courses 5 4 4 4 4 4 and 5 this semester.

What are everyone elses thoughts? I get the idea most people do 4, does anyone here know anyone thats done six or two or less

    In my experience, 4 is pretty relaxed unless they're work-intensive courses. 3 will probably feel like not enough work (I'll find out this semester). 5 feels like full time school, and 6.. I'm not doing 6.

    Since I do not work, I always take 5 classes in the fall and spring semester. During last summer, I took two distance ed courses. I somewhat regret doing this because I didn't get a U-Pass and a substandard "professor" called Irwin Shubert put a major dent on my GPA.

    I usually like to take 3 or 4 depending on if I'm working or not. I don't know if I'm just lazy or my social/family life takes up too much time but I don't think i could handle 5 without failing/doing poorly in them. And the funny thing is sometimes I feel ambitious and I register myself in 5 classes, only to drop out of 1 or 2 as soon as school starts. P.S. I'm in the 6th year of my undergrad :S

    Depends on my courses I guess. I'm a "heavy-procrastinator " when it comes to doing something boring (like math), so I have some time management issues. If I'm taking 2 math oriented courses, 3 per semester would be more ideal. Otherwise, usually 4.

    Is there a time limit for our undergraduate degree or can we take as long as we want/ need?

    Yep. But you can only take 3 semesters off in a row before you'd have to re-apply for admission.

    but sadly it would take forever

    As of right now I'm taking five courses next semester. Four on campus, one distance ed. My job allows me to create my own hours so I can work around it quite easily. We'll see what happens to my GPA.

    I usually enroll in 4 courses (I took 5 once and was toasted!).

    Since I'm coming back from an 8 month co-op, I've only taken 3 courses for the upcoming Spring semester. :-P

    I feel like taking three would be cheating, Im so dead set on graduating early though, Im sure I could get a 4.0 gpa taking three classes

    slow and steady, been taking 3 courses for 3 of the last 4 semesters and will take 3 again in spring to grad :)

    I have done 5 6 5 and 5 classes per semester. Five is easy and six I can handle, I think I will be doing six again so I can take classes I want before I graduate.

    i did 5 5 3 3 and next semester it will be 4 and next summer will probably be 5 again.

    comparing taking 3 courses to taking 5 courses, i prefer 5. i find taking 3 courses is nice and all but there's just TOO much time. and when i get into thinking that I have a lot of time to study i tend to procrastinate a lot more than usual. plus i work better when i'm crushed for time--lol i love pressure.

    3 is good, 2 is a lil slack and 4 is well, havent done 4 since 2nd year :)

    Just for the record, I think in some faculties, it's easy to handle 5 classes while in others its pretty brutal.

    I've done the 5/4 courses a semester thing. The worst part is when you have science labs. :( If they're all lectures it's a bit easier in terms of time commitments, IMO.

    However towards the end I was doing like 3 courses a semester due to course availability. Not complaining, mind. :)

    In regards to Distance Ed...does anyone know what materials I'll have to return once the course is finished? I thought it would be the study guide, but then the outline says I can keep that. A little confused as to what I can and cannot write in.

    Bachelor of Arts
    - Major: Political Science

    I am thinking about changing my Bachelor of Arts to Major in Criminology and Minor in Political Science.
    I am going to be with SFU for a total of more than 6 years! yay.

    I am halfway through my second year and I am going to be leaving with a Bachelor of Science, Major: Computing Science, Minor: Criminology and a Certificate in Liberal Arts.

    As well I know which classes I am going to be need to take to do that.

    As well, I have to get done in four years.
