Course Description:
This course will provide an overview of human sexuality, theory, research, and treatment,
relying on theoretical and empirical research. The course is interdisciplinary and
presented from multiple perspectives, including psychological, biological and socio-
cultural. Topics will include:
Perspectives on Sexuality and Sex Research
Sexual Anatomy and Physiology
Sex Across the Lifespan: Child, Adolescent, Adult and Elderly
Male sexual function and dysfunction with health, aging and illness
Female sexual function and dysfunction with health, aging and illness
The Human Sex Response Cycle: Mind, Brain and Body working together
Sexual variation: Sexual Identity & Orientation; Gender Identity; Paraphilias
Culture, Religion and sexuality
Pornography, Prostitution & the Law
Conception, contraception; sexually transmitted diseases and safe sex

    I believe this is the first year that it is offered since this is the first year of the Health Science undergraduate program.

    Yep it is the first year it is offered...Id be a lot more interested if it was taught by a female prof haha
