math tutor

edited November 2006 in General
Hi, I am taking intro math and I have tried attending the work shop but it just doesn't work for me, I bumed the first midterm. So I was wondering if any body knows a good private tutor, or any place at the school where I can go to and find one. I'd rather have a tutor who is not an undergrad but works at sfu so that seeing him will be more convinient. Thank you.

I would try looking at the bulletin boards at school. Not many tutors know about this site yet so until then thats the only way to go I think.

and what math are you talking about . work groups usually work better than the workshops because the TA's are too busy.

I have an excellent Math tutor for Math 154.
He has a PhD in Mathematics, so he's able to teach all levels of math.
His name is John Abreu, and you can contact him at jabreu@sfu.ca

He charges $35 per hour and he teaches inside the SFU library.
    I highly recommend him!!

  • I know an excellent math instructor who is able to teach first and second year university math courses. He has master's degree in Mathematics and PHD in engineering. He has 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience. He charges 35/hour, and teaches both in Surrey and Burnaby campuses. His phone number is 778-686-7875, and email address is westsiderhm@gmail.com.
