AND....i hate it when people walk super slow in a line of like three people.
Like on the seawall.
And you cant pass them.
People do that in the hallways at school too! Or even worse, if your gonna stand around and chat with your friends at least don't block the whole hallway
....people who tell long boring stories that dont even have a good ending. Its like, do i care? I mean really.
And they think their story is just the bestest ever.
Ugh.
So annoying.
in such a case... 4 magic words: shut the _____ up.
works every time! Try it.
I hope I don't seem like a jerk.
I should clarify that I only do this when studying/writing tests/doing homework. (see my post in the thread regarding people who ask for answers) Otherwise its just mean.
I hate waiting in line because someone can't make up their mind about what to order, move the f aside and think, damnit, its not the decision of your life.
The thing I hate most is dog owners walking around the park with their unleashed animals as if they own the damn place. Leash the bloody thing up and respect others; not everyone likes your animal and wants to be around it! And what's worse is that these people rationalize by saying that "he's OK, he doesn't bite"--WTF? STFU!!! Damn it, I'm fed up with these imbeciles and their dogs. Not once, not once have I walked in any park without being confronted by an unleashed beast followed by its inept owner. Leash it up or don't walk them at all!
^ Ummm, are you running up to the dog and trying to pet it or something? Leave the dogs and their owners alone. If you are jogging in the park and the dog runs up to you and tries to attack you, then i think you have a valid point. But if the dog is just playing or walking off leash, i dont really see the problem. I walk my dog off lease....if another dog or person approaches, i put him back on the leash, but otherwise he's fine.
I hate when people phone me at work and say "someone from your office phoned me but i dont know who cuz i forgot to get the name of the person from the message they left me."
....
Im like, "well i cant help you without a name. Go back and get the name and then phone me back."

The damn dog runs up to me and it's my fault for not leaving it and its owner alone? I always mind my own business but to an unleashed dog and its incompetent owner that seems to be of little concern. It's as if the park is theirs and theirs alone; as if they can walk around the bloody place however they like and if the dog happens to irritate somebody, it must be that somebody's fault for not leaving it alone and for interfering with its free-roaming doggish nature, right?

Must it come to that for there to be validity? Dog attacks could easily be prevented if the owners were competent and respectful enough to keep their dogs leashed at all times.
It's really not that difficult and would save others a plethora of worries and headaches.

You sweetheart may not see the problem but you and your pooch are not the centre of the universe. Other people plainly don't like dogs and don't want dogs running up to them when they're minding their own business. You should respect people's rights to be left alone. And what if the dog's playing leads it to sniff my crotch area . . . or worse? Its owner will say that's fine and the dog itself could care less, but I deserve to be left alone when I'm in a park and I do not relinquish that right when I walk/jog in the park.

That's how these rationalizations begin. "Oh, he's fine", "He won't bite you", I didn't ask you for its inclinations or its predispositions. I just want it to leave me alone and for it to be leashed up at all times. Surely the rights of a human outweigh the rights of any animal. Not every park is leash-free; in fact, almost all parks require owners to have leashes on their dogs at all times. Why do so many owners disregard this?

I can't stand the sense of entitlement that we nurture, here. "My son is allergic to peanuts, thus all two thousand students will be required to go without any peanut based products. That seems fair to me." "I hate the smell of smoke, thus I will push to pass a law that makes it illegal to smoke in public places." "I don't like dogs, and thus am entitled to dictate the behavior of others, because THE WORLD REVOLVES AROUND ME!" UGH.
You honestly don't see the irony in telling OTHER PEOPLE that the world doesn't revolve around them, because they like their dogs? They're not telling you what to do. You are telling them what to do. WHO is self-centered, in that equasion? If you don't like smoke, then DON'T go to a bar that's notorious for smokers! If you don't like dogs, then DON'T go near them. You do NOT have the right to force others to live their lives according to YOUR idiosyncratic preferences.
I hate loud, pounding bass. It causes me physical pain, and nausia. My solution? I don't go to clubs! I also don't like the smell of seafood. My solution? I don't go to seafood restaraunts where I'm likely to come in contact with it. If someone DOES order seafood at a table near me, do I get mad at them? Of course not, because I'm not a self-centered prick. I either tough it out, or switch tables or, in an extreme case, I might leave. The point is: my problems are MY problems, not theirs.

2 different things here: peanuts may harm a few people, just like a dog might only harm a few people

Smoking harms everybody. Period.
Right, because of all those hard, irrefutable numbers regarding the harms of atmospheric second hand smoke.
Oh wait, that's right... there are none. ;) SHS is only harmful if they lock you in an isolation chamber with a 30% concentration, and you stay there for a month. Time, after time, after time, after time it has been shown that a night in a smoky bar has zero effect. A thousand nights at a smoky bar over the course of a few years has... zero effect.

Of the millions of people working in heavily smoky environments, one got lung cancer. IRREFUTABLE! Lord knows no non-smoker working in a smoke-free evironment has ever gotten lung-cancer...
Right?
The point is not whether someone who has been around smoke has ever gotten lung cancer, it's whether the incidence of lung cancer is higher among those people, than it is in the general population. And it just isn't. Now, certain respiratory conditions can be caused by SUPER excessive exposure, but again: I don't care how big a bar-star you are, you will NEVER be able to subject yourself to that level. It just isn't possible. If you don't like smoke then you don't like smoke. But to say that banning smoking protects people from the harmful effects of second hand smoke is just flatly dishonest.
Note: I have never smoked a cigarette, nor do any of my close friends smoke. Anti-smoking laws don't hurt me, except insofar as it naturally hurts me to see my government infiltrated by whiners with no regard for personal liberty.

I hate slow drivers who sit in the left lane.
I hate slow drivers who are driving too slow that they dont make the yellow light and then you're stuck behind them for even longer.
I hate when you pass a slow driver and they stare at you like you're a crazy person.
if the other person drives faster than you, you think they're straight crazy.
there doesn't seem to be an equilibrium.
Thats so true.

I hate when people go flying through the intersection after they light turned yellow and they could have easily stopped safely, in time.
I hate when people start tailgating me and turning their brights on and off while I am in the right lane doing the speed limit.
I hate it when I get cut off on the highway when it is pouring rain and there was no need for the person to change lanes so quickly.
I hate when people speed.

It's a preference, not a medical issue.
