MACM courses?

edited March 2007 in General
I'm really interested in taking more computing science courses (even though i'm not in the faculty)...though, I didn't do well in CMPT 120 (i got a C+) so I'm wondering whether taking MACM 101 before CMPT 125 will help me do better in the course?

I am in CMPT 125. I took MACM 101 last semester. It helps me a little bit now-particularly it helps to write conditions. But MACM 101 is a big help in CMPT 150.

I did MACM101 and CMPT 126 (the same as 125) at the same time and I didn't find MACM helped at all. If you are not majoring or minoring in Comp Sci then I highly suggest you DO NOT take MACM. Unless your Professor is J. Liu then prepare yourself for one bad semester. Yes, MACM does help in CMPT150, but that class has been done without MACM and yes it is possible to do.

Long story short, do not take MACM unless you have to or you want a bad semester.
