omg! i just swallowed a chewing gum...

lol, ok is it serious/ dangerous?..cos i've been taught from a young age to NOT swallow em! it feels horrible...i can still feel it in my throat!...i tried to get it out wiv my fingers but it's not working!

    it's okay, it's not dangerous.

    i used to chew gum in elementary school and when the teacher caught me, i would just swallow it and act like i was innocent teehee..which i am...

    yeah when i was in elementary school, always been a myth goin around how it stays in your system for years and years

    but then i found out later on it was all a lie :sad:

    Yeah, nothing happens at all. Your body digests what it can and pops the rest out!

    No, no it doesn't. If it takes 7 years, where, exactly, in your digestive tract does it sit? Things move through there constantly (assuming you eat and drink) and there are no little "pockets" for gum to sit in.

    Totally an urban legend!

    I thought it just sits in your stomach and the acid slowly breaks down the gum, and the average time it takes is 7 years to completely break it down?

    dunno, I've always thought its 7 years too.

    Nothing sits in your stomach, things are either digested there, or they move on through.

    i've done that when i was like 7 years old i think... it just somehow went down.. haah o wellz
