Favorite 80's Songs
Sure, it was a decade of one-hit-wonder after another, but we have to admit, a lot of those songs were pretty damned catchy. Anyhow, post or request your favorite 80's songs here.
Here's are a few of mine
Flock of Seagulls - I Ran (So Far Away)
Bon Jovi - Living On A Prayer
Simply Red - If You Don't Know Me By Now

My absolute favourite group ever is JOURNEY!!! I seriously loveeee them like crazy. Too many songs to name. Steve Perry is amazing.
Foreigner is good as well.
Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac I am really into right now.
Crowded House - Don't Dream It's Over
I didn't recognize this one until I heard the chorus, but it's a good one.
A-Ha - Take On Me
We should all know this one.
Cutting Crew - I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight
Reminds me of the SNL skit about the wedding singers who only know this song....plus it's a good song.
Foreigner - I Wanna Know What Love Is
Fleetwood Mac - Little Lies
Culture Club - Karma Chameleon

Debaser - Pixies (1989)
Haha, I just copied one of my Ipod playlists, I had to cut out the full albums (Joshua Tree, Songs from the Big Chair, License to Ill etc.) so this list wouldn't be like 100 songs.
George Michael - Careless Whisper
PS: I like you! thanks for those links :)
Done and done. This song is great
Air Supply - Making Love Out Of Nothing At All
One of my favorites.
ACDC - You Shook Me All Night Long
Wham! - Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go
Another classic.
Glad somebody enjoys the 80's tunes. I'll be back with more later.
Europe - The Final Countdown

There's an awesome live version of it.
How come no one put up anything by Metallica? They're one of the best 80s bands and certainly one of the greatest metal bands of all time. What gives?
For Whom the Bell Tolls
Hit the Lights
Creeping Death
Master of Puppets
Seek and Destroy
Whiplash
Ride the Lightning
Fade to Black
It's enough to make me want to rip my eyes out of their sockets, and jam them into my ears.
Anyway, aside from that...I can't believe I haven't posted this song. Being Rick Rolled a million times, I should have put it up long ago. And for clarification, I've always liked this song. Seems like a lot of people these days only know it from being Rick Rolled. Good to see Mr. Astley is getting some (probably unwanted) exposure though.
Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up
Oh, and about Metallica, I like some of their stuff, just don't have any of their songs on my computer. Feel free to post some =P I'm the only one that ever uploads songs to this thread.
Kenny Loggins - I'm Free (Heaven Helps the Man)
Journey - Any Way You Want It

U2 - With or Without You
U2 - I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
Those are more well known. The following two aren't really, but they're great songs.
U2 - Bad
U2 - Running To Stand Still
Then you open it up........and
BAM! The most pimping shot of Michael Jackson you'll ever see.
