    The lesser ones.

That is, the ones where you wonder "What can I do with this?".

    Try checking out ASSC1.

The ladies of Computing Science are still alive and well! I think...

For a second, I though you were refering to the World Islamic Call Society until I realized that you were talking about something relating to Computing Science.

Sadly, this is not usually the case...

For example, there was this one cute girl who lived on my floor in my first year in Rez. Both she and I are in History, though we never took anything together. In my second year in Rez, I saw her again as I was heading back to Rez and she looks quite different now...

I think there were a few science/ math courses in the ASSC1 building. I specifically recall a bunch of them gathering around looking a formulas and stuff on a Friday morning as I am going to my humanities class. However, there were a few cute Asian girls in the crowd.

Oh and by the way, my humanities class on Friday, also in ASSC1 building, got some of the most hidious classmates I have ever seen. I don't know if it is the theme of the class or something, that class got a lot of overweights in it. As a result, I have never been so focus in class since I got burned out after Fall 07.

ASSC1 is mostly for Crim and I am not going to lie there are a decent amount of good looking girls in that department. Of course, coming from CS, there tends to be good looking girls in almost all departments.

So why are there no decent looking girls (or girls for that matter) in CS? Is this some social phenomenon or what.
  • edited May 2008
I'm going in to MIS. Does that count?

Hey I'm in CS and I'm a chick! Don't call us all uggos. And after I tell some guys my major I see intimidation in their eyes. Being hot is more than what's on the outside as people have already mentioned...

@ Agentbob - Well then I guess you haven't seen me. LOL

Well....you see... girls suck at math and logic, so they can't survive CS.

I thought you would have figured that out already.

That's because philosophy is in arts and CMPT 165 isn't really a CS class. It's more like "a CS-ish class intended for business students."

165 is far from what CS is really about.

"Computing Science is to computers as astronomy is to the telescope."

Are these mandatory for a CS degree? I mean, do these actually come into use when it comes to software engineering? After slaving away hours and hours in 101, I don't think I'll manage in 201.

    Sorry for derailing thread.

macm 101 is similar to phil 100

    MACM 101 was a joke.

MACM 201 was a slightly harder joke.

I can't speak for Business, however I think the hotness average of Political Science will plummet if you know who Paul Browning is. Also, if this also includes Professors, then I say that Political Science will be in the negative range...

No idea who that is, and I'm not speaking for Profs either (they're all old!). The students, on the other hand, are pretty good looking. Totally my type -- White, nice body, and in school! Too bad I hate PoliSci.

I've had a hot TA for Philosophy and Psychology, however...

Uh all the guys in POLI sci are either average looking and nerdy, or nerdy and super geeky

I've seen plenty of guys in graduate level business courses all dressed up I woulda stopped for though
