keep textbook reciepts!
The government issued another tax credit for post-secondary students for the expense of course-related textbooks, which like the education tax credit, the textbook credit can be carried forward or transferred to a spouse or parent.
Full-time students enrolled for eight months qualify for textbook credit of $520 for the year ($65/mth for full-time / $20/mth of part-time), which is a tax reduction of about $80.
This new tax credit is effective 2006 tax year. (For ur taxes in April 2007)
So don't throw away those reciepts.. u need them to claim ur returns!!
