If it's a big class, you'll probably get in cuz people will be dropping it during the first week. Is it a lecture? If so, make sure you attend from the beginning...
I'm in position number 1 for Bio 102 and the lady in charge of bio told me I prob won't get in.. because people haven't been dropping out of the lab for that course in a few years, and i need it :(
it takes at least a week for ppl to realize the course suck for them... by the time they dropped it, no1 is gonna fill the space because it's gonna be 1 hell of a time to catch up...
For me..if i dont get in physic 100 by this week, im dropping it because there's a lab next week, and i have to pass that lab in order to pass the course. If I'm not in the course, how do i do the lab?
just give it up. ur never gonna get into the class. u took too long, u should've bin a little faster in registering. now pick another class and move on with life.
Don't really want to make a new thread, so bump! I'm third on the wait list for a class, and tomorrow is the last day to drop without having a financial penalty. If I get in this one, I would drop a DE class I'm already in, but I've never had to wait on a list before...anyone have experience?
im pretty sure you can take to an advisor to swap it without penalty, so just have the extra class then talk to an advisor, because im not sure if you can swap classes if youre on a wait list because youre technically kinda enrolled in the course i dunno

I usually register in another class as backup just in case...you have until 2 weeks into the semester to drop it
Usually if it's a large class, you'll get people dropping classes after the first week so it should open up a bit.
is that bad?

(I've never ran into waiting list situation before until this semester...)
